The Amaica Group Foundation, in partnership with Oasis Multi-Specialty Hospital Kakamega and Amaica Media, conducted a health outreach program at CEC Mwangaza Elukho Church as the church celebrated three years since it was launched.
With an initiative of providing an opportunity for residents to access essential medical services while increasing awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups, early detection, and disease prevention, Oasis Multi-Specialty Hospital Kakamega onboarded a free medical camp to the community.

The camp offered a wide range of medical services, including general consultation, which included blood pressure and blood sugar checkups, ultrasound services, and physiotherapy services. Additionally, the team conducted an on-site Social Health Authority (SHA) registration alongside educational sessions to guide the community on how to access quality and comprehensive healthcare services.

The health outreach also highlighted the importance of collaboration between religious institutions, the media, and healthcare providers in addressing community health needs. “Through such partnerships, the organizers seek to encourage members of the public to take a proactive approach to their health by seeking medical attention early and undergoing regular screening for various conditions. ” Stated Clinton Mukanda representing the Radiologist/Marketing departments at Oasis Multi-Specialty Hospital in Kakamega.
To maximize the impact of the medical camp, Amaica Media leveraged it’s broadcast platform to sensitize the wider society through broadcasting the event and sharing informative health programme through Amaica Radio 99.3, ensuring community education and engagement extended beyond those who could attend in person.
The three-year anniversary of CEC Mwangaza Ilukho, therefore, provided not only an opportunity to celebrate the church’s journey but also a platform to promote the well-being of the wider community through healthcare awareness and services.
